Polymer Products’ expertise lies in compound development and production of all types of polyurethane materials. Over 40 years, we’ve developed compounds with a wide array of material properties for all types of environments.
- Custom Compound Development
We manufacture MDIs, TDIs, ethers, esters, specialty blends and much more. Need something completely new? We’ll work with our trusted vendors to meet your unique needs, no matter the difficulty or application range.
- Custom Part and Mold Design
Our engineering team has over 80 years of experience in custom elastomer molding and tool design. PPI can evaluate any type of molded product and help with part design and tolerances, mold design, mold manufacturing and material suggestions. We’ll use CAD software, 3D printing, and lab testing and mixing to develop any size project.
- Custom Mold Manufacturing
PPI designs molds for all types of elastomer molding, including open cast, injection, compression, and hose fill; we can then manufacture the molds at our sister company with expedited delivery and low costs.
From Small Batch to Mass Production
We have six buildings with over 80,000 square feet of manufacturing and storage space, including a lab for small-batch testing.
- Hand-Mixing and Lab-Batch Testing
Our in-house lab and hand-mixing offers small-batch processing to provide you with accurately molded test products of any size or compound.
- High-Capacity Production
Multiple areas with unique manufacturing layouts minimize overcrowding with high-capacity products. Our facility also allows us to provide inventory controls to decrease lead times in crucial markets.
- Efficient Finishing to Tight Tolerances
PPI uses over 15 CNC lathes to finish polyurethane parts to final dimensions, offering tight tolerance control on critical areas and efficient production for high moving parts.
Extreme Quality Control
The PPI process is built on quality control, and we’ve been ISO 9001 certified for over 10 years. Our promise is that we value quality control internally through every step of the process as much as the quality we provide to you with the final product. We test and analyze every product using advanced equipment, including a CMM, FaroArm, tensometer, FTIR lab scanner and a full lab.
- Lean Automation and Robotics
PPI invests heavily in lean automation and robotics to control critical processes in all major plant areas, metal prep, molding and finishing – meaning we can pour any quantity of production efficiently and consistently.
- Computer-Controlled Mixing Equipment
PPI uses computer-controlled mixing equipment to control mixing ratios to extremely tight tolerances. We can pour high-moving, small shot parts and process large parts that require long fill times.
- Automated Metal Preparation
PPI specializes in bonding elastomers to metal for all types of applications. Our automated process controls the metal preparation from start to finish to ensure the highest quality bond strength.
